About Russell

Russell is a software developer whose roots in coding go back to the days of the Commodore 64, where he learned the patience of saving and loading programs via audio cassettes. A true veteran of the digital age, he spent his early years dialing into local BBSs, hunting down files on FTP sites, and exploring the dawn of the web when every homepage had a hit counter and a guestbook.

Outside of software engineering, he is driven by a deep appreciation for narrative and sound—always down for a compelling story and a great soundtrack to go with it.

About This Site

This site is a space to extract the ideas that have been bouncing around in the head of Russell for years and, hopefully, bring them to life. Inside, you’ll find a collection of russellings, attractions, and games.

What are russellings anyway?
russellings — noun. The sounds that words assembled by Russell make when unleashed upon the internet.

Why Attractions?
In the real world, one of life's greatest pleasures is visiting roadside attractions. Spending a few minutes with the World's Largest Ball of Twine or spotting a giant Jackalope statue on the side of the highway can really lift your spirits when traveling.

The information superhighway needs more roadside attractions. These are things created simply to be enjoyed, to make you scratch your head, and to put a smile on your face. The hope is that the attractions you find here will bring you a few minutes of joy.

Are the games any good?
Probably not. But Russell always thought it would be cool to build a game or two, so who knows what might end up here?
